Coloring Cement In Parking Garage

This account had a bare-cement parking garage adjacent to a brick-paver area, also in the parking garage. The paver area was primarily used for valet, while the bare cement was for guest parking.

The cement had not been maintained/sealed properly over the years and was badly stained. Although there were a few options to restore or clean the area, it was decided to pressure-wash it with aggressive chemicals. Of course, oil stains over many years would never be 100% removed; the plan was to color the cement using our patented paver coloring process.

National Sealing Co. is the largest paver sealer in Florida and perhaps the country, having sealed over 2 million sq. ft. of pavers. We have developed a process for dyeing or re-coloring pavers (in this case, bare cement) by matching the original dyes. This penetrating process during coloring results in a ‘’flat look’ ‘ that resembles pavers. Since we can match the pavers used initially, the cement area would look similar to the pavers, so at first glance, the entire region would appear to have brick pavers.

Other options would have included staining the cement; however, the stains would not have matched the existing pavers. This was the best approach for making the area look like one.
