Coloring Pavers with a New Paver Dyeing Process

National Sealing Co is the largest paver sealer in the country with over 2 million square feet of pavers protected. We recognized a need to develop a coloring process for faded pavers. Fading of pavers is a fatal conclusion to the lack of continued sealing of pavers.

The goal was to RESTORE the pavers, or come as close as we could to a natural look. We wanted to avoid the STAINED or PAINTED look which would render an unnatural look, and an ongoing maintenance issue. For vehicular applications staining and painting tend to ‘lift’ with hot tires. Our dye penetrates the porous pavers.

For pavers with hues of various colors, the very small molecules in the dye combined with our customized application process will allow the various colors to still show.

So thrilled we found National Sealing Company! The travertine decking and surfaces of our new pool and large patio look great - and it's most importantly super easy to clean! Rust, spills, etc. wipe up great! (And, no more sandy/dusty travertine to clean!)Kenny helped answer all of my questions initially, and we were very quickly added to the schedule. And, the price was very reasonable!We went with Mark's recommendation of "medium grippy" for the application of the nano beads. The surface feels great. Not at all rough to the feet, adds a nice sheen, and no one has slipped since the install! (Whew! The appearance and feel were my biggest concern going in.) I did have a few spots in crevices that pooled up white but was able to use a toothpick to remove it.My pool builder didn't initially recommend sealing tile because of the concern about making the surface slippery. After talking to several neighbors who didn't seal their travertine based on pool builders' recommendations, they all regretted. (In Houston, mildew quickly becomes a problem with the look of travertine - yet, you aren't supposed to pressure wash it either, which is a pickle! So this is a great alternative solution!) My pool installer is now recommending National Sealing to other customers based on our positive experiences.

These guys did a great job sealing and applying a non-slip nano bead topcoat to a ~700 sqft travertine pool patio. We had the patio sealed beforehand but the result was far too slippery and became a bit of a safety hazard. I worked with Kenny who was clearly an expert in the trade and was able to resolve our issues entirely. Very satisfied, highly recommend.

Anyone is thinking about sealing or coating their pavers, travertine or other patio or driveway you should really check out this company, National Sealing. It was the best decision my wife and I made when we hired them to coat our new travertine patio. Overall our travertine pool deck looks and feels fantastic! Working with Kenny and Mark was easy and pleasant. I'm optimistic this coating will last at least a few years - given that this in Boise, Idaho a freeze/thaw environment. If anything changes I will attempt to update.

We just installed a new travertine deck (July 2023) and wanted to make sure that it was well protected. We have a salt water pool and are aware that salt water is aggressive to natural stones which further heightened our desire to ensure that we did our best to protect our deck. I talked with several companies and ultimately decided to use National Sealing. On the phone Kenny answered all of my questions. Ultimately there was an element of a leap of faith since I had no experience with protecting natural stone outside, but Kenny's explanations along with the numerous positive reviews I read online convinced me to go with National Sealant.Mark came out promptly on our scheduled day and walked me through everything that he would do. It was exactly as Kenny had described it previously. I was impressed with Mark's patience in explaining everything I should know, he listened to and answered all of my questions, and as I watched him work it seemed evident to me that he really cared that he did a great job.It's been two days since the coating with the nano beads was sprayed on our travertine. It looks great. The surface is slightly rough, perhaps like a fine grit sandpaper. I am very happy with the coating and the look. Time will eventually tell if the travertine is protected to the extent that we hope for, but at this point we are very pleased with the product and the service.

After researching the various ways to protect our newly installed Travertine deck we chose Kenny at National Sealing to lay down his NS-200 Coating with nano non-slip beads. In addition to bringing out the natural beauty of the stone the non-slip surface makes it much safer to walk on when wet. With proper care it looks/feels like it will last a few seasons before needing a refresh.
