Preventing Grout From Getting Dirty
CASE STUDY: Protection of Tile & Grout in New Hotel
PROBLEM: A Common problem of preventing grout from getting dirty
This account wanted to preserve the hotel’s flooring. The tiles chosen throughout the hotel were light in color, and, of course, the grout matched. The owners had the foresight to know that this light-colored grout would remain light for a long time.
The lobby would undoubtedly take a beating within the first 30 days. The common restrooms would not only become unsightly but also begin to stain and develop an odor, as porous surfaces retain chemicals and even mildew. They wanted the guestrooms to stay very clean and had planned to make that a selling point in a very competitive market.
SOLUTION: Application of coating process*
The focus was on the grout. However, our coating process protects not only the grout but also the tiles, making the surface virtually maintenance-free.
