I have a travertine apron around my pool that was installed 8 years ago on Marco Island. A year ago I had bought a sealer online, power washed and followed instructions to seal the travertine which was bleached and faded. A year later it was all gone. This past Friday 5/1/2020 National Sealing Co, sealed/coated the travertine stone. I power washed and removed all furniture prior to their service. Cosmetically from before and after the Stone is much more vibrant having the natural colors back on display. Their 2 step process leaves a muted glaze/shimmer which upon close inspection is the nano-beads that are smaller then grains of sand. Time will tell on the durability but my impression on the finish is that it is a different process with a much harder surface coating that based on reviews seems to last. I waited 18 hours to walk on the surface as recommended in bare feet and you can feel the anti-slip finish. The service process with Kenny was responsive, punctual and completed by 2 professional and courteous service techs in just over an hour. A few points, make sure the surface is very clean and dry in advance. I don’t believe the service includes any surface preparation and a few corners on my deck had some dirt/sand that they sealed over????
